Pozer

Following the release of his first single of 2025, Shanghigh Noon—which premiered on BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders and as a Target Embargo on BBC 1Xtra last Thursday—and a the announcement he’ll be performaning at this year’s MOBO Awards, where he earned two nominations including Best Newcomer, South London breakthrough artist Pozer announces his highly-anticipated debut EP, Against All Odds, out this Friday.

Produced by longtime collaborator RA, with additional production by Jordan Bikila on “Habits,” Against All Odds is a bold statement from a one-of-a-kind artist. From the buttery-smooth soul of “Follow Your Dreams” to the hazy psychedelia of “Habits”—evoking Goldie-era A$AP Rocky—Pozer pairs his old-school grime-inspired lyricism with boundary-pushing beats that draw on psych, drill, Jersey club, and classic soul, all filtered through a fresh British lens. The result is a transformative debut EP from a leading voice in the next wave of UK rap.

And it’s already catching on in a big way. In just 12 months, Pozer has amassed an impressive list of achievements, including a nomination for the BBC Sound of 2025, a TV debut on Later… with Jools Holland, and a collaboration with AJ Tracey on “Heaterz,” which landed on the BBC Radio 1 C-List. Beyond the hype, Pozer is breaking records: at just 24, he released two of the highest-selling British rap tracks of last year, became the first UK rapper to have his first two singles chart simultaneously, and has accumulated over 105 million global streams.

His intricate wordplay and unmistakable sound have earned co-signs from Stormzy, Pa Salieu, Dave, AJ Tracey, Nemzz, Knucks, Chip, and Chy Cartier, while his music has been playlisted on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, and KISS. Pozer also features on major “Artists to Watch” lists—including Dazed 100, NME 100, Billboard Artists to Watch, No Signal Class of 2025, VEVO Artists to Watch, Mixmag Artists to Watch, and British Vogue’s Ones to Watch in 2025—solidifying his place as one of the UK’s most exciting new talents.
